Making the decision to move to a student accommodation as opposed to staying home with parents can be influenced by a lot of things; seeking independence, logistics, wanting enough space and freedom to study and focus, and even training to become a full adult upon completion of your studies. However, the task of finding a place to live for students in Cape Town can feel daunting to the pocket and mental health. That’s why we at Study & Stay not only offer affordable student accommodation in Cape Town’s Bellville but also tips on how to make the most out of your living expenses and experiences in this city. Let’s take a look at how you can make the most out of cutting and maintaining low expenses when living in one of Stadio’s most trusted accommodations.

Navigating Student Living
New city, who dis, right? We’ve all been there; a new city, school, and experience await you as soon as you leave the airport. Where to even begin? Well, we went around and bothered Stadio alumni, Naledi Kau (Bachelor of Arts, BA: Fashion Media 2022 graduate) for some advice on how to navigate student life in Cape Town, especially if it’s your first.
Here are some tips from her:
Make time management your best friend: Learn to carefully manage your time, but also afford yourself time to relax and take a break every now and then.
Leaving assignments till the last minute will overwhelm you, do not do it. Start as soon as possible.
Make friends. The “no man is an island” saying is true. You want to build a community for when you need advice or help, or simply need to recharge your social battery. We all have one. Speaking of advice and help…
Ask your lecturers, fellow students, security, and maintenance people whenever you are in need of something. (This also applies to our Study & Stay accommodations too.)
Don’t try to fit into crowds that make you act out of your own character. Student life can feel like a competition; focus on yourself and your dreams.
Learn and adopt organisational skills.
Embrace breaks and take them; varsity can be overwhelming.
Enjoying Some Cape Living As A Student

These can help on those days when you feel like doing something fun and affordable while exploring the Cape.
